Terms of Service — The Workbook Press

What you get when you buy

Each product on theworkbookpress.com is a digital download — an HTML file (and any accompanying PDF/visual assets noted on the product page) delivered immediately after checkout. You receive a personal license to use that file on your own devices for your own self-reflection.

You may:

Open and use the file on as many of your personal devices as you like (iPad, phone, laptop, desktop).
Print pages for personal use.
Save your answers locally inside the file using your browser's storage.

You may not:

Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the file.
Share the file with friends, family, or colleagues as if you had bought multiple copies. If a friend wants a copy, please send them to the store; the prices are intentionally low so this isn't a hardship.
Strip out The Workbook Press branding and republish the content as your own.
Use the content in coursework, books, or commercial products without explicit written permission.

Refunds

We don't offer refunds on digital downloads. The product is delivered the moment you complete checkout, and there is no realistic way to "return" a digital file once it has been opened.

If a file is broken, doesn't load, or doesn't match what was described on the product page, email us and we will fix it or replace it. If a workbook genuinely doesn't suit you, email us anyway — we read every email and a lot of product improvements have come from honest buyer feedback.

Privacy of your answers

Every workbook saves your answers using your browser's local storage on your own device. Your answers never reach our servers. We cannot read, recover, or restore them. If you change devices, clear your browser, or use the file in a different browser, your saved answers don't follow.

If you want backups: save the file to iCloud, Dropbox, or Google Drive — your answers travel inside the file across devices that share the same storage location.

What we collect when you visit the store

We use Shopify's standard ecommerce infrastructure, which collects what's necessary to process an order: your email, name, billing address, payment details, IP address, and similar standard data. We use Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and Meta Pixel (when configured) to understand how the store is used. See the Privacy Policy for full detail.

We do not sell your information. We do not pass it to data brokers.

Updates to products

We sometimes ship improved versions of a workbook (typo fixes, better questions, clearer interactions). When we do, we email everyone who bought the older version with the updated file at no extra charge.

The original file you downloaded keeps working — your saved answers stay intact. Updates are optional.

Liability

The Workbook Press is not a substitute for therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or any professional care. The workbooks are reflection tools. They do not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition. If something you encounter while using a workbook concerns you, please consult an appropriate professional.

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to a workbook is limited to the price you paid for that workbook.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which The Workbook Press is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute is resolved in the courts of that country.
